What's New With The Wagoneer in Salisbury, MA
Several changes have been made to the new Wagoneer. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six is standard on all trims, and the Hemi V8 is no longer available. Also, the standalone option for the front passenger display is no longer offered for the base trim and is now offered as an option on the Series II.
The Series II and Series II Carbide trims also get air springs as an available option. Plus, the Series III now has four-wheel drive as standard and receives an air-spring suspension system, a head-up display, and a power-folding third row.
Performance
The only engine for the new Wagoneer is the twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Wagoneer outputs 420 hp and 486 lbs.-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.
Fuel Economy
The fuel economy for the Wagoneer is determined by the vehicle's drivetrain. With front-wheel drive, the Wagoneer gets an estimated 17 mpg city and 24 mpg highway, and with all-wheel, those estimates dip to 16 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.
Design
The three-row Wagoneer is a spacious SUV with seating for eight passengers. The leather upholstery and ambient interior lighting highlight the luxuriousness of the cabin. At the same time, its practicality can be seen in the model's various cubby bins and the model's large 27.4 cubic feet of storage behind the third row. For even more cargo space, the third row can be folded to offer 70.8 cubic feet, and with both back rows down, the space expands even further to a maximum of 116.7 cubic feet.
Technology
Equipped in every Wagoneer is a wealth of technology. A 10.1-inch infotainment display and a 10.3-inch digital gauge are standard. An optional 10.3-inch monitor for front-seat passengers can provide access to navigation and entertainment features.
Each infotainment screen runs on Uconnect 5 software and features Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, integrated navigation, Amazon FireTV and Alexa, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. There's also a McIntosh 19-speaker stereo system available on the top-spec Series III.
Safety Features
Since Jeep models have a modicum of off-road capabilities, the Wagoneer has tech to keep you safe on and off the road. These driver-aids include forward collision warning with automatic braking, blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic warning, and front and rear parking sensors.
Trims
Four trims are offered for the New Wagoneer.
Wagoneer: This well-equipped base model sits on 18-inch alloy wheels and offers features like a Class IV tow hitch receiver. There's also a 115-volt household-style power outlet, heated & leather upholstery, plus power-adjustable sliding and reclining second-row seats.
Series II: Builds on the base model to offer added amenities such as LED ambient cabin lighting, a wireless charging pad, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
Series II Carbide: Even more amenities are offered in this trim, and they include gloss black 20-inch wheels, a triple-pane panoramic sunroof, dark exterior and interior accents, and reversible vinyl/carpeted floor mats.
Series III: As the highest trim, the Series III is equipped similarly to the Series II but has standard four-wheel drive and heated second-row seats. This trim also features four optional packages that add even more to the model.
